Indoor Pools

Our indoor facilities are open year-round. We are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas. The facility may have special hours on other holidays or during inclement weather. Areas of the indoor pools at times may be closed for programming or classes.

For the safety of our members, guests and staff, all pools close during severe thunderstorms.

The low diving board opens at 4 p.m. on Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturdays, and 12 p.m. on Sundays starting in March (unless programming is scheduled in the pool).

Monday – Friday: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Lap swim / individual exercise: 6 to 11 a.m.
  • Open swim: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Play pool slide: 4 to 7 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Lap swim / individual exercise: 8 to 11 a.m.
  • Open swim: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Play pool slide: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Available for private rental beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday: Closed

Pools are cleared 15 minutes before closing time.

Swim Meet Schedule

The Kingsport Aquatic Center hosts indoor swim meets year-round in the Competition Pool. Swim meets may alter the pool’s operating hours. Please check our Facebook page regularly to stay up-to-date on pool closures. You can see the entire swim meet season schedule for the 2025-2026 season here (dates subject to change).

Please be aware, the warm pool will be slightly cooler than normal as we host these February swim meets.

February 11 – 14, 2026: AAC Championship Meet (Entire indoor facility closed – lap swim available at listed times)
-Feb. 11: Competition Pool closed to public beginning at 5:30 p.m.
-Feb. 12 – 13: Public lap swim at 12 to 1:30 p.m. (Competition Pool shallow end and Warm Pool only)
-Feb. 14: Public lap swim at 12 to 1 p.m. (Competition Pool shallow end and Warm Pool only)

February 18 – 21, 2026: Conference Carolinas Championship Meet (Entire indoor facility closed – lap swim available at listed times)
-Feb. 18: Facility closes at 1 p.m.
-Feb. 19 – 21: Public lap swim at 6 to 7 a.m. (Competition Pool and Warm Pool only) and 1 to 2:30 p.m. (Competition Pool shallow end and Warm Pool only)
