Cabana Rentals

We have private cabanas available to rent during the summer season at our outdoor water park. KAC members receive a 10% discount on cabana rentals (this does not include season pass holders). To reserve a cabana, please click the link below, or visit the KAC front desk.

Full Day Rental Time Slots

  • Monday – Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 – 5:30 p.m.

Half Day Rental Time Slots

  • Monday – Thursday: 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Monday – Thursday: 3 – 6:30 p.m.

Rental Guidelines

  • Payment for cabana rental does not cover the daily admission fees. Any guests who are not KAC or Kingsport YMCA members must pay admission.
  • You may have a maximum of 8 people in the cabana at a time.
  • Chairs cannot leave the cabana area.
  • Outside food & drinks are not allowed in the cabana.
  • Cabana rentals cannot be used to replace birthday party rentals.
  • No refunds or rescheduling will be done after the beginning of rental period including cases of inclement weather and/or conflicting events.
  • For the safety of those under the cabana, the front flap must remain opened for visible inspection.
  • The KAC is not responsible for personal items in cabana.
  • There will be no time extensions or time changes to the pre-established rental slots.

Closure

The Kingsport Aquatic Center will undergo $1.5 million in infrastructure upgrades and guest improvements beginning next month – a project aimed to secure the long-term future success of the facility.

As such, the Indoor Pools will close September 5th to be drained prior to the improvement project beginning.

The Outdoor Water Park will remain open through Labor Day (September 7) and then close for the improvement project. Locker rooms will not be available during the shutdown.

The Outdoor Lap Pool will be open 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday for lap swim and personal exercise during the shutdown (except September 14). This schedule is subject to change and will be reevaluated weekly.

Southern Watershapes Inc., will be performing this improvement project for the city, which will include the following:

  • Five pools will receive new plaster, updated tile, edge treatments, guttering improvements and new filtration components.
  • Pump room upgrades will include replacement and updates to chlorine lines and related mechanical components.
  • All main drains throughout the facility will receive new compliant drain covers.
  • Indoor slide will receive a new gel coat finish and updated structural paint.
  • Indoor splash pad spray features will receive updates and improvements.
  • Outdoor leisure pool and play structure will receive updated paint and new plexiglass components.

The KAC plans to reopen the facility in January. A reopening update will be provided to the public in December.
