FYI:
The Kingsport Aquatic Center will undergo $1.5 million in infrastructure upgrades and guest improvements beginning next month – a project aimed to secure the long-term future success of the facility.
As such, the Indoor Pools will close September 5th to be drained prior to the improvement project beginning.
The Outdoor Water Park will remain open through Labor Day (September 7) and then close for the improvement project. Locker rooms will not be available during the shutdown.
The Outdoor Lap Pool will be open 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday during the shutdown (except September 14). This schedule is subject to change and will be reevaluated weekly.

Our flexible scheduling can easily accommodate your schedule, whether you’re a high school or college student or a parent looking to work part-time.
All our lifeguard positions require that you are an American Red Cross-certified lifeguard, a certification which must be renewed every two years. Not certified? No problem! Let us know you’re interested in earning your certification, and we’ll do what we can to arrange a training course.
Water Safety Instructors with an American Red Cross certification are qualified to teach group swim lessons at the KAC. Instructors without a certification can teach private lessons to students looking for more one-on-one instruction!
All applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
